History: http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Tauriel

Personality: Tauriel is a young elf, roughly around 600 years old, and the natural tendencies of her particular subset of the elven race often mean she is much quicker to display her emotions. Thranduil might calmly cut off an orc's head, but Tauriel's Ferocity prompts her to react to its taunting and threats toward Kili. Tauriel has a temper and under the right circumstances it is easily stoked. Her Bravery is without question however, as she's more than willing to face down giant spiders and orcs as she is to stand in front of her king (who has basically also been her father figure for most of her life) and challenge his decisions. That being said, she is more than willing to throw herself into danger on behalf of her kingdom, and then go out into the world completely unknowing as to what awaits her.

Because she is young, and has yet to truly experience the world, she displays a great deal of Idealism. When Tauriel is convinced of a principle, she commits to it. She truly believes that the elves, particularly the Mirkwood elves , should participate in the battle to keep Middle Earth free of evil. She rejects her father figure’s xenophobic policies and leaves Mirkwood with the conviction that she must remain true to her believes. She even goes so far as to convince Legolas of the need for the service to the greater good.

Her idealism is also hand in hand with her Curiosity regarding the outside world which she seems eager to protect despite having seen so little of it. When she and the other elves of the Mirkwood Guard capture the dwarves, she is interested in the stone he carries and the runes on it, and is almost immediately captivated stories of his travels. While she cares for her homeland, she also wants to see more of the world.

Fears: While she has no particular phobias, Tauriel does have a few particular fears, in varying levels of severity. Perhaps less of a fear and more of a dread, the xenophobia her king has exhibited in closing off his kingdom has prompted her to defy his orders. Evil is moving in her world, and it worries and frightens her to think of the havoc it can wreak. Her relationship with Thranduil is both of liege and father-figure and even though she has defied him, there is certainly worry that he will ultimately reject her, after already being an orphan once. There is also of course, the racial tensions and stigma that comes with her growing fondness for Kili, and her fear for his safety.

Weaknesses: In general, Silvan elves are regarded as "less wise, and more dangerous". Tauriel is more likely to react violently in certain situations where most elves would give pause to consider. She tends to wear her emotions closer to the surface than most of her kind, though this may be accounted for the fact that she is younger and more of an idealist by comparison. There are also three people she holds in high regard, and threatening them or causing them harmm in varying degree would easily be a means to control her: Thranduil, Legolas, and Kili, the lattermost of which involves socially unacceptable affection.

Mundane Strengths/Abilities: Tauriel is the captain of the guard of Mirkwood, and second only to Legolas when it comes to using a bow. she can use any kind of blade, but prefers her paired daggers. She can perform athletic, acrobatic feats with ease, including climbing enormous trees, running at top speed for extended periods, and jumping at great heights and distances and landing safely.

Sensitivity/Magical Ability: Tauriel is an elf, and as such is physically more enhanced than a normal human or mortal. Naturally faster, stronger, and more enduring, elves are hardy enought that a dozen pints of mortal ale don't even make them tipsy Elves lives for thousands of years and are naturally Thus far, the only magic that Tauriel has displayed is the power to heal wounds. Utilizing herbs and chanting she is able to cure Kili of a lethally poisonous arrow wound. When she accesses magic she taps into the "inner light of the Eldar" which can cause her to glow if she draws deeply upon that power.

Supply List: Her clothes (which includes her leather armor), her necklace, her bow, a quiver of 26 arrows, two daggers, a few pieces of lembas bread, and a few sprigs of athelas.
